About the venue
Bovendonk is a unique business and event location with a history that dates back to 1282. The venue is centrally located in the western part of North Brabant and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Bovendonk is housed in a monumental building that was originally built as a training center for priests and today offers an inspiring environment for meetings and events.
Meetings can take place in unique spaces such as the Library, the Uythofzaal, under the characteristic roof trusses, in the impressive Congress Chapel, or in one of the other meeting rooms. Each space combines historical elements with the comfort and facilities of today.
Celebrating, partying, eating, and drinking
For drinks, dinners, and parties, there are atmospheric spaces such as the monumental Refterzaal, the Stafkamer, and the Brasserie, all with beautiful vaulted ceilings. For larger events, the inner garden is also used, where a historical ambiance comes together with a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.
For meetings & events
Bovendonk is suitable for both short meetings and multi-day conferences, knowledge sessions, and customer events. With a large plenary room and various breakout rooms, the venue is ideal for programs with multiple sessions. Those looking for a historical location with professional facilities will find a fitting setting here.
Think of a networking day where the inner garden serves as a central meeting point, with bars, food courts, and live music. The surrounding rooms provide space for talks, workshops, and presentations. Catering is fully taken care of: a versatile kitchen serves snacks and dishes, from artisanal bitterballen to refined culinary amuses.
A national monument in green
The building was designed by architect Pierre Cuypers, known for, among other things, the Rijksmuseum and Amsterdam Central Station. The building is set up according to the principle of a 'town in miniature'. Characteristic stepped gables, rich patterns in the corridors, and details above the windows make it an architectural masterpiece. The surrounding park with ancient oaks and stately avenues offers plenty of space to relax between meetings.
Special rooms and spaces
The Library bears strong similarities to the famous Library in the Rijksmuseum and exudes knowledge and history. In the Uythofzaal, the original wooden beams have been made visible again, restoring the space to its former glory.
The Refterzaal, once the dining hall of the priest training center, is a special place for lunches, dinners, drinks, and parties. The painted vaults, large windows, and wooden floor create a warm and intimate atmosphere, regardless of the size of the group.
With the combination of history, a green environment, good accessibility, and versatile spaces, Bovendonk is an ideal location for meetings and events for up to 300 people.
