About the venue
Bovendonk is a special business and event location with a history that dates back to 1282. The location is centrally situated in the west of North Brabant and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Bovendonk is housed in a monumental building that was originally constructed as a priest training institute and today offers an inspiring environment for meetings and events.
Meetings can be held in unique spaces such as the Library, the Uythof Hall, under the characteristic roof beams, in the impressive Congress Chapel, or in one of the other meeting rooms. Each room combines historical elements with the comfort and facilities of today.
Celebrating, partying, eating, and drinking
For drinks, dinners, and parties, there are atmospheric spaces such as the monumental Refter Hall, the Staff Room, and the Brasserie, all featuring beautiful vaulted ceilings. For larger events, the inner garden is also used, where a historical ambiance meets a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.
For meetings & events
Bovendonk is suitable for both short meetings and multi-day conferences, knowledge sessions, and client events. With a large plenary hall and various breakout rooms, the location is ideal for programs with multiple sessions. Those looking for a historical venue with professional facilities will find an appropriate setting here.
Think of a networking day where the inner garden serves as a central meeting point, with bars, food courts, and live music. The surrounding rooms provide space for talks, workshops, and presentations. The catering is fully taken care of: from the versatile kitchen, snacks and dishes are served, from artisanal bitterballen to refined culinary amuses.
A national monument in nature
The building was designed by architect Pierre Cuypers, known for, among other things, the Rijksmuseum and Amsterdam Central Station. The building is structured according to the principle of a 'small city'. Characteristic gable staircases, rich patterns in the corridors, and details above the windows make it an architectural masterpiece. The surrounding park with ancient oaks and stately avenues offers plenty of space to relax between meetings.
Special rooms and spaces
The Library bears strong similarities to the well-known Library in the Rijksmuseum and exudes knowledge and history. In the Uythof Hall, the original wooden beams have been made visible again, restoring the space to its former glory.
The Refter Hall, once the dining hall of the priest training institute, is a special place for lunches, dinners, drinks, and parties. The painted vaults, large window sections, and wooden floor create a warm and intimate atmosphere, regardless of the size of the group.
With the combination of history, a green environment, good accessibility, and versatile spaces, Bovendonk is an ideal location for meetings and events for up to 300 people.
