About the venue
The Watermill of Rakhorst is a historical location, situated in Gelderland Heerde, romantically surrounded by meadows, forests, a romantic lake, and a babbling brook.
Inside the building, you can still find, and this is unique in the Netherlands, the authentic elements such as silos, millstones, and the wooden water wheel.
The Watermill of Rakhorst has, in addition to the two restored watermill halls, also the very playful and artistically designed Grain Transfer. Extremely suitable for meetings, retreats, team days, workshops, training days, (product) presentations, and other events and team-building activities.
Next to the watermill, there is a large Farm Barn on the grounds. A farmer's lunch or just a Michelin Dinner... that appeals to every imaginative fiber in your body....
The terrace by the Watermill, with a view of the lake, offers a great outdoor spot to enjoy the peace and the view of the Watermill, the lake, the water wheel by the brook, and the authentic farm barn.
The Watermill is very easy to reach by car from the A50. There are 50 free paved parking spaces on the grounds, and you can reach the Watermill on foot in just 1 minute, walking along the lake.
