The Watermill of Rakhorst is a historical location, situated in Gelderland's Heerde, romantically surrounded by meadows, forests, a romantic lake, and a babbling brook.
Inside the building, you can still find, and this is unique in the Netherlands, the authentic elements such as silos, millstones, and the wooden waterwheel.
The Watermill of Rakhorst has, in addition to the two restored watermill halls, the very playful and artistically designed Grain Transfer. Extremely suitable for product presentations, meetings, events, and definitely for romantic weddings.
Next to the watermill, there is a large Farm Barn on the premises. A farmer's lunch or a Michelin dinner... that speaks to every fantasy fiber in your body....
The terrace by the Watermill, with a view of the lake, offers a great outdoor spot to enjoy the tranquility and the view of the Watermill, the lake, the waterwheel by the brook, and the authentic farm barn.
The Watermill is very easy to reach by car from the A50. There are 50 free paved parking spaces on the premises, and you can walk to the Watermill in just 1 minute, walking alongside the lake.
Welcome to our wonderful world of water!
