This unique location is situated at Park Vliegbasis Soesterberg. At this historic airbase, you can host groups of 25 to 450 guests in a shelter of 800 square meters. The location is in the middle of a beautiful nature area of the Utrechts Landschap and right along the A28 between Utrecht and Amersfoort. A unique place where creativity, heritage, technology, and nature come together.

Park Vliegbasis Soesterberg is a historic airbase and now has the status of a protected nature area. One of the former aircraft shelters is now set up as an inspiring and interactive space for meetings, training sessions, company parties, and conferences.

Immersive and interactive media installations as an inspiring environment for your event
This location is based on a special concept. In the shelter, there are various interactive media installations from the media design collective DROPSTUFF MEDIA in collaboration with several museums and museum collections. Through these installations, guests can experience the stories of tomorrow, the imagination of creative processes, and the wonder of new technological possibilities. It provides the perfect start for dissecting ingrained processes and opportunities and developing new ideas. In this completely unique 'new media playground', your guests can personally experience the possibilities of immersive media such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, or artificial intelligence. The location thus forms the perfect start and context for, for example, joint innovation or transformation processes.

Meeting and presenting in the shelter
The shelter is equipped with a large central transparent 'dome' tent and also has smaller rooms for break-out sessions. We are happy to brainstorm with you about the goals of your day and the options for speakers, moderators, workshop and game formats, and technical possibilities. And with the standard facilities like audio-visual installations, lighting, tables, chairs, and flipcharts, you know you have a perfect base for your meeting. In terms of catering, we offer a quality selection of fresh coffee/tea, snacks and drinks, lunch, brunch, drinks reception, and dinner options. We would be happy to provide you with a tailored offer in collaboration with our caterer.

Taking a break... into nature!
At this location, you can perfectly take your break in a beautiful nature area. We offer special walking tours and cycling trips around the airbase, possibly guided by a guide from the Utrechts Landschap. Highly appreciated by the guests who have already visited SHELTER610!

Central in the country, for small and large groups
Park Vliegbasis Soesterberg is centrally located along the A28 between Utrecht and Amersfoort and is accessible by both car and public transport. There is free parking available at the base, and buses run from Den Dolder station. OV bikes are available at Den Dolder (1.8 km) and Bilthoven (3.5 km) stations. We can also offer rental bikes.

Standard, SHELTER610 is set up for groups of up to about 250 guests. Larger groups are also possible in consultation. In collaboration with the Utrechts Landschap, a second shelter can be used, which is typically set up as a large plenary hall with a joint capacity of approximately 450 guests. The outdoor space directly in front of the shelter can also be used, a beautiful environment for a BBQ or your company gathering.
