Rebelle

Located in the Augustijnenkerk, a national monument from the 17th century with a unique appearance thanks to its high ceiling, fantastic windows, and more than impressive interior.

Rebelle, over 500 m2, a maximum of 800 people, parking nearby, and coaches that can stop at the door. Catering is provided by our professional partners.

From 1974 to 1976, the church was thoroughly restored according to plans by architects Harry and Pieter Koene. On April 2, 1976, the bishop's vicar mgr. L. Meertens reopened the Awwestiene, which was then opened for cultural events. Since 1991, the building has served as a meeting and rehearsal space for the Mastreechter Staar. Around 1998, the building was stripped of the remaining church inventory, after which the church was rented out a few evenings a week as a nightclub called NightLive. Until June 2014, the church was set up as a children's playroom FunVille with a catering facility (including a terrace on Mariastraat). In 2015, the church was renovated again. Rebelle was born. 

What can be done here: as much and as diverse as possible! From corporate parties, conferences, weddings, dinners & drinks to pop-up restaurants, coffee tables, exhibition spaces, fairs, and product presentations.

The charm of the large high space will be felt at every event!
