Looking for a centrally located venue in the Netherlands for company outings, meetings, conferences, brainstorming sessions or other events? Come to SHELTER610! This unique location is situated in Park Vliegbasis Soesterberg, now a beautiful nature reserve.

At this historic airbase, you can host small and large groups in a shelter of over 800 square meters. For example, for a meeting with a cozy drink on the indoor or outdoor terrace for groups starting from 20 guests, but a delicious BBQ for 300 guests is also possible. More guests? Two shelters are also an option! For example, for a conference or a business presentation market or dinner.

The location is right along the A28 between Utrecht and Amersfoort. A unique place where creativity, heritage, technology, and nature come together. And... not unimportant; suitable for nice weather & also in case it unexpectedly rains.

Interactive media installations as an inspiring and colorful environment for your event
This location is based on a special concept. In the shelter, there are various interactive media installations. Through these attractions, guests can experience the stories of tomorrow, the imagination of creative processes, and the wonder of new technological possibilities. But above all, it is all very special to experience and the location provides a very colorful environment for your event.

In this completely unique ‘new media playground’, your guests can personally experience the possibilities of immersive media such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, or artificial intelligence. SHELTER610 offers, among other things, a group game or competition with action and quiz questions. Take a ride on a special carousel, play on classic game consoles, chat with an AI-driven candy store clerk, take a group photo in the photobooth, and fly over the base in VR. The location thus forms the perfect starting point and context for, for example, joint innovation or transformation processes, but also a perfect place for a fun party with a delicious BBQ!

Meetings, presentations, and in the shelter
The shelter is equipped with a central courtyard featuring a large LED screen of 3 x 4 meters, a stage, and a cozy terrace. The courtyard can also be set up for a plenary presentation. A large transparent 'dome' tent is suitable for smaller gatherings of up to about 65 guests, and there are also two small domes for 15 guests each, suitable for break-out sessions.

We are happy to brainstorm with you about the purpose of your day and the possibilities in workshop and interactive game formats, team-building activities, speakers, moderators, technical options, and, for example, a DJ for the music. And with the standard facilities such as audio-visual installations, lighting, tables, chairs, and flip charts, you know that you have a perfect base for your gathering.

In terms of catering, we offer a quality selection of fresh coffee/tea, snacks and drinks, lunch, brunch, drinks, and dinner options. We would be happy to provide you with a customized offer in collaboration with our caterer.

Time for a break... into nature!
At this location, you can take the perfect break in a beautiful nature area. We offer special walking and cycling tours through the surroundings of the airbase, possibly guided by a guide from Utrechts Landschap. Highly appreciated by the guests who have already visited SHELTER610!

Central in the country, for small and large groups
Park Vliegbasis Soesterberg is centrally located along the A28 between Utrecht and Amersfoort and is accessible by both car and public transport. There is free parking available on the base and buses run from Den Dolder station. Bike-sharing options are available at Den Dolder (1.8 km) and Bilthoven (3.5 km) stations. We can also offer rental bikes.

Standard, SHELTER610 is set up for groups of up to about 350 guests. Larger groups are also possible upon consultation. In collaboration with Utrechts Landschap, a second shelter can be used, which is standard set up as a large plenary room with a total capacity of about 550 guests. The outdoor space directly in front of the shelter can also be used, a beautiful setting for a BBQ or your company drinks.
