About the venue
The renewed University Museum Utrecht (UMU) is the museum for everyone who is curious. In this family museum, you get a glimpse under the hood of science and become a researcher yourself. In UMU, there is plenty to do and see. There are five exhibition halls and there are regularly workshops and research activities.
Adjacent to the museum, you will find the Oude Hortus. The Oude Hortus is a beautiful, hidden green oasis in the heart of Utrecht. It is a lovely place to wander around and enjoy the special plants and trees. This unique, historical garden is divided into several parts, including a cottage garden and a medicinal garden: the Regius Garden. In addition, the garden hosts many plant and tree species. For example, one of the oldest Ginkgo biloba trees in the Netherlands is here. This specimen is over 250 years old.
The University Museum Utrecht (UMU) and the Oude Hortus offer a peaceful, inspiring environment for meetings and workshops. Room rental includes access to the museum and the Oude Hortus.
