Across Het Koelhuis, just a 2-minute walk away, you'll find the Q-Park garage at Lijmerij. The garage offers 250 parking spaces, for which we can provide exit passes.

What is the accessibility by car?

Navigation address: Lijmerij 2, 7202 AZ, Zutphen. If you are coming from Apeldoorn/Voorst, continue towards 'De Hoven' at the final roundabout on the ring road. Follow this road over the IJssel bridge. Immediately after the bridge, turn left through the light tunnel. You will find the Station P+R parking garage on the first street to the right (diagonally across from Het Koelhuis).

Is the venue accessible by public transportation?

Het Koelhuis is easily accessible by public transport. We are located 200 meters from the station, which serves multiple intercity routes, including direct connections to Deventer, Arnhem, Nijmegen, Winterswijk, Zwolle, and Hengelo. Exiting the station through the rear exit and turning left will lead you directly to Het Koelhuis.

Can you spend the night at or near the venue?

There are several hotels in and around Zutphen, all within a 5-minute walking distance.

Is it possible to bring our own caterer?

We have our own professional production kitchen and handle events from A to Z. It is not possible to bring in external catering.

Until what time can a party last?

The celebration is possible until 1 a.m.

About the venue

Welcome to Het Koelhuis! With its rugged appearance and history, this industrial event location is an inspiring place for various gatherings. Centrally located in East Netherlands, directly behind the NS station in Zutphen, by the IJssel with a marina and next to a parking garage.
The spaces in Het Koelhuis are ideally suited for conferences, cultural programs, staff parties, product presentations, photo shoots, online and hybrid events, and internal branding events.

The building has five floors with nine modularly deployable spaces. The high ceilings, unique handrails, and robust elements from the past create an industrial atmosphere. The beautifully lit spaces are atmospherically furnished.

Het Koelhuis has been developed by Studio Hoogeveen & van Tilburg since 2012. The Studio is an events and communication agency that excels in developing communication tools, providing texts for various media, and is skilled in the targeted use of audiovisual resources.

In most spaces, we use color-adjustable LED spots, and the entire building has free fiber optic internet. The walls are equipped with an insulating layer made of recycled material. This ensures excellent acoustics for both large and smaller events.

Our experienced team can take care of organizing your event from concept to full realization. We can take on the complete project management or parts of it. From concept, the development of communication tools to scripts, budget monitoring, and the setup of our location.
