About the venue
Welcome to Het Molenhuis, the group accommodation of Friesland with a charming appearance and a 300-year-old national monument miller's house directly located by the water of the Eleven Cities Route. Surrounded by a vast outdoor area, our accommodation is in the vibrant watersports village of Woudsend, where there is always something to experience.
Het Molenhuis consists of two accommodations: Het Jurjenshuis and Het Jelleshuis. Together, these accommodations can host large groups, ideal for family outings, corporate weekends, or sailing camps.
Het Jurjenshuis has space for 54 people and features a modern kitchen, spacious sleeping quarters, and a large multifunctional recreation room that can also serve as a dining hall.
Het Jelleshuis accommodates 70 people and has recently renovated bedrooms, luxury sanitary facilities, and a cozy recreation room with a bar and sound system. Both accommodations can be rented separately or together, depending on your wishes.
In the Jelleshuis, there is a spacious, modern recreation room that serves as a versatile dining hall and party room. The space is equipped with a spectacular bar with multiple taps, large coolers, and a private dishwashing kitchen, allowing you to effortlessly serve larger groups. Thanks to the professional lighting and sound system and the presence of a projector, this room is suitable for dinners, parties, presentations, and all kinds of gatherings. The large glass sliding doors give the room a light, open appearance and provide continuous views of the more than 300-year-old sawmill and the waterfront, where beautiful boats frequently pass by.
The sleeping quarters of Het Molenhuis have been carefully renovated with respect for the monumental character of the building. The authentic atmosphere has been preserved while much attention has been paid to comfort and functionality. This way, you can enjoy a pleasant, calming environment that fits both the history of the building and the wishes of today.
In total, there are 24 rooms with a total of 124 beds. Each room has its own sink with a mirror. The rooms range from cozy double rooms to spacious ten-person rooms, ensuring there is always a layout that fits your stay. Whether you choose a smaller, quiet room or a sleeping space with more beds, you will find a suitable option here.
The combination of historical charm and modern convenience makes the renovated sleeping quarters a comfortable place to relax after an active day.
