Naturalis Biodiversity Centre is a museum, research institute and event venue in Leiden. Here, you can organise meetings, conferences, symposia, presentations, receptions, dinners and corporate events. The Auditorium can accommodate up to 240 people in a theatre-style layout. For smaller gatherings, venues such as the Rooftop Café and De Groene Kamer are available.

The venue is situated in Leiden Bio Science Park. It is approximately a seven-minute walk from Leiden Centraal station to Naturalis. This makes the venue easily accessible for guests from various parts of the Netherlands.

For larger events, you can spread programme elements across multiple rooms. An exclusive evening opening of the museum after closing time is also an option.

Naturalis also offers clear practical options for corporate event organisers. Catering is provided by Naturalis’s regular catering partner.

Catering options range from conference catering to dinner or a food festival. Naturalis provides a vegetarian menu as standard. Meat and fish are also available on request. It is not possible to bring your own caterer.

Sustainability you can actually see 
At Naturalis, sustainability isn’t just a story. In ‘The Green Room’, for example, you’ll see furniture and materials that have been recycled, reused or produced locally. 

Chairs are made from fibres sourced from coffee jute sacks, amongst other materials. Recycled PET felt and reused furniture have been used for other elements. In this way, Naturalis’s commitment to sustainability is also evident in the space where you gather.
