About the venue
The Vakwerkhuis is an old boiler house and national monument from 1903. It used to provide energy for the TU district. Today, it buzzes with energy as a place for flexible working, meetings, celebrations, organizing, or simply enjoying a good cup of coffee.
No matter what business meeting you are organizing, you will find the right space at the Vakwerkhuis. Spread across the Boiler House and the surrounding grounds, we have 13 inspiring spaces, each with its own character. Choose from three large spaces for plenary sessions or use one of the ten smaller spaces for breakout sessions, meetings, training, or retreats.
Vakwerk Architecten repurposed the boiler house into an event location, coworking space, and café. The boiler house is once again a source of energy for its surroundings. The appearance of the building has largely remained as it was. The industrial look is still clearly visible. The different buildings of the old boiler house are connected by glass, creating beautiful sightlines. The use of a lot of oak wood, red steel, and greenery creates a warm atmosphere.
The Vakwerkhuis is located by the Schie, has several gardens and outdoor spaces, and is within walking distance of the beautiful old city center of Delft. In 10 minutes on foot, you can reach the Delft station. A green oasis in the middle of the city.
