Fonda Café & Historische omloop

With the Fonda Café and the historic walkway, you choose to host your event in one of the most iconic places in the city. Many feet have already walked on the historic staircase from 1895; the spot where the artist duo Gilbert & George was born and where, in the 90s, visitors slid down the giant slide by Alicia Framis.

The space is known for its famous daylight that naturally pours in through the glass roof. This creates a very spacious feeling. In the evenings, the light can be adjusted to create the atmosphere you desire. You can welcome your guests with a drink and a snack on the staircase walkway. The walkway offers them various exciting views of the current exhibitions, including those in the Honor Hall. The adjacent Fonda Café has everything you need for a tasty dinner, visually adorned by the stripe paintings of Daniel Buren and the installation by Lawrence Weiner, which are permanently displayed on the wall here.
