About the venue

The St@art

Apenheul is a unique location for conferences and events. Every year, about 200 meetings take place here, sometimes combined with a visit to the monkeys in the park. At the edge of Apenheul, with hundreds of monkeys within walking distance, lies The St@art: one of the most sustainable conference locations in the Netherlands. This building is completely CO2-neutral, and the carpeting is made from recycled tires and jeans. The St@art has a large, bright reception area with a view of Stadspark Berg & Bos, an Auditorium for 300 guests, several sub-rooms, and a covered terrace overlooking the pond of Stadspark Berg & Bos. The spaces in The St@art can be flexibly arranged. Ideal for workshops, team meetings, or splitting a large group.

Kambizuri

In the middle of Apenheul, hidden in greenery, is the location Kambizuri. These atmospheric lodges with terrace overlook the largest gorilla island in the world. Kambizuri is suitable for up to 250 guests. We can fully customize this location for you, in a style that fits your meeting. The location can be divided into separate, atmospheric spaces for smaller groups. It is no surprise that Kambizuri is a popular location for workshops, training sessions, family gatherings, drinks, and dinners! Moreover, this is an ideal place to combine a meeting with a visit to the monkeys or to enjoy the gorilla feeding presentation from the terrace.

Both locations are centrally located in the Netherlands, just an hour's drive from Amsterdam. Besides an event at one of these locations, you can also visit Apenheul with larger groups or even rent the park exclusively.

Monkeys and Nature as a Source of Inspiration

At Apenheul, we make every event or conference unique. We do this by giving it a personal and substantive touch. We achieve this through lectures by Apenheul experts, (custom) training sessions, guided tours, and other activities. Of course, with monkeys as a source of inspiration! There is much to learn from monkeys when it comes to leadership, business relationships, or communication, for example. There are also many similarities in the field of nutrition and health. In addition, Apenheul, as a sustainable organization, has an inspiring story to tell. This way, we ensure that the location and the theme of your day align well with each other.

Sustainability

Sustainable entrepreneurship is a priority at Apenheul. After all, we have a mission: to promote love for animals and nature. In everything we do, we take nature into account. We aim to prevent or limit the pressure on nature. Additionally, we work worldwide on nature conservation with the Apenheul Nature Conservation Fund.
