Fort Lunet aan de Snel is located in the Honswijk Fortress as part of the Holland Water Line in Schalkwijk and is a part of our national cultural heritage. If you are looking for a historic venue in a green environment, then Lunet aan de Snel is a perfect option.
The Location The grounds of Lunet aan de Snel cover over 2 hectares and consist of an upper and a lower part. The beautifully restored barracks make Lunet aan de Snel a unique location for meetings, celebrating your wedding, or hosting a corporate event. The upper area is freely accessible during the day; a walking path takes visitors over this part to the viewpoint on the barracks. However, this area can be completely closed off when rented. The lower part in front of the barracks is not public and is completely sheltered by a green border of trees and shrubbery. Lunet aan de Snel has a very large terrace in front of the barracks, perfect for an outdoor dinner or a cozy outdoor reception. On the terrace/front area, there is more than enough space for placing stretch tents, food trucks, etc. Using the entire grounds allows for large visitor numbers.
The Barracks The vaulted rooms in the barracks of Lunet aan de Snel have a robust, sturdy appearance. At the same time, the meeting rooms are equipped with all modern conveniences. Within the fortress walls, you can use WiFi and 4G, presentation screens are available, and the barracks also have underfloor heating. And for those who want to stretch their legs, you can walk straight from the meeting room into nature! The layout of the rooms is very easy to transform into a party or reception space. By opening the double doors, the wide gallery turns the various barracks spaces into a cozy whole, accommodating around 200 people.
Catering We are happy to arrange catering for lunch, drinks, or dinner for you, but you are completely free to organize it all yourself. Lunet aan de Snel does not have a fixed menu but has a fully equipped kitchen. The caterer can use it for an additional fee.
