Museum of Humanity is a museum that does more than facilitate your ideal meeting. It started with a dream of founder Ruben Timman in 2001 about a museum that was to become the setting for colorful, touching portraits and stories of people. It has been the starting point to portray people from around the world equally and colorfully: everyone is a masterpiece and valuable. It has become the backdrop for various encounters between humanity: schools, companies, visitors, and passersby. 

Museum of Humanity is an inspiring location for events and meetings. We love personal connections and encounters, which is why we know how to create a personal setting in our impressive, industrial museum building. The small, intimate, yet largest aspect makes us unique as a location in the Zaanstreek. The space is suitable for many forms of encounters: product presentations, exhibitions, drinks receptions, corporate events, company festivals, summer parties, winter drinks, team days, training sessions, and more. Moreover, Museum of Humanity can be rented for photoshoots and TV recordings.

Due to our location by the water and close to the heart of the city, the venue is easy to reach, and we can quickly coordinate with partners who can provide a culinary experience or the right decor. Personal and tailored. In the summer months, the location invites you to enjoy drinks and breakout sessions outside in the sun. And with colder weather, the museum can be transformed into a cozy, warm, intimate atmosphere for meeting each other. 

The museum has multiple TV screens and a sound system that can be heard throughout the building. The museum offers the possibility to create a large-scale setting, but also a smaller setting in our many cozy corners. There are plenty of parking spaces for every group.

We love to create personal encounters. Besides our location, we are actively working to inspire companies (Museum at Work), schools (School of Humanity), and actually everyone through our training and workshops to have an eye for each other.
