About the venue
Welcome to the Schiecentrale, where history and innovation meet along the vibrant banks of the Maas. Our spaces breathe a rich industrial history and provide a stage for business successes and inspiring gatherings.
The building features the monumental Turbine Hall, where energy was once generated for the port and residents, the Megawatt, which can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, and two break-out rooms, suitable for parallel sessions, workshop space, and meetings. The robust setting of the Schiecentrale makes every event unique.
Inspired by history
The Schiecentrale was built in 1904 and was the first power plant in Rotterdam. A large complex including a transformer house, turbine hall, and boiler house. The original building is now a national monument.
Industrial & homely
The building has a ceiling of about twelve meters high. This unique feature makes the space fully adjustable to your own wishes. With scaffolding parts, different levels have been built, allowing the hall to be experienced on multiple levels.
Whether you want to give an important presentation, plan a strategic brainstorming session, or enjoy a culinary dinner, the Schiecentrale offers the ideal setting. Our modern facilities and professional service ensure a successful progression of your event.
Step inside the Schiecentrale, where your business meeting not only takes place but comes to life.
