Capacity
From exclusive dinners and intimate presentations to large-scale conferences and corporate parties: Theater Amsterdam offers space for events from 100 to about 2,000 guests. The theater auditorium has 1,100 comfortable theater seats with a perfect view of the stage and the impressive projection screen. The Blackbox also provides 1,200 m² of open floor space for parties, dinners, break-outs, and custom concepts.

Multiple spaces, one powerful event flow

What makes Theater Amsterdam unique is the combination of a full-service approach and a surprising event flow between the different spaces. After an impressive plenary program, keynote, or award show in the theater auditorium, the gigantic projection screen can open, allowing guests to literally flow backstage into the Blackbox for the next program segment.

The spacious foyer by the water serves as the perfect reception and networking area. Additionally, there are plenty of opportunities for break-outs and side events, both in-house and in collaboration with partner venues such as Vue Houthavens, Club ACE, and The Other Side. From multi-day conferences and product launches to livestreams, public shows, and corporate parties, every event is fully customized.

Culinary experience in-house
Good food and drink are an essential part of the overall event experience at Theater Amsterdam. The catering is fully managed in-house and comes from more than 23 years of experience in high-end party catering. From luxury sit-down dinners and walking dinners to street food concepts and late-night bites: each menu is tailored to your needs. Vegetarian and vegan options are a standard part of the proposals, and sustainability is central to the approach. By managing everything in-house, transportation movements are minimized, and quality, hospitality, and flexibility can be maximally controlled.

International-level technology
The technology at Theater Amsterdam is built for impact. The 50-meter-wide projection screen, high-quality lighting, sound, and video technology, and the ability to add complete show elements make the venue highly suitable for keynotes, award shows, product presentations, and live entertainment. An experienced technical team collaborates from concept to execution and ensures that every production runs smoothly and professionally.

Sustainable and future-oriented
Theater Amsterdam is a proud holder of the Golden Green Key certificate. The building itself is an example of circular reuse: originally built for a theater production about the life of Anne Frank and transformed into an event location after the performances in 2016. Additionally, Theater Amsterdam actively works on reducing food waste, separating waste streams, and does not use plastic during events.

Accessibility
Theater Amsterdam is located directly by the water in the Amsterdam Houthavens and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. From Amsterdam Central Station, you can reach the venue in about 15 minutes, and from Sloterdijk station in about 10 minutes. For guests arriving by car, the Minerva parking facility with about 600 parking spaces is within walking distance. Arriving by boat is also an option, a unique way to start an event in a special way.
