About the venue
Meeting in a unique location is possible at Vechtclub XL.
Vechtclub XL is an incubator for creative entrepreneurs. Since 2012, we have been located in the former OPG complex in Utrecht. With more than fifty permanent studios and workspaces, public events and exhibitions, meeting rooms, a brewpup, coffee roastery, coffee bar, and restaurant, Vechtclub XL is a place of significance for creative entrepreneurship in Utrecht.
The Spaces
Vechtclub XL has a large hall with a stage and bar, two upper spaces ‘De Boog’ and ‘Het Nest’, and a greenhouse. These are inspiring spaces with all the necessary facilities for a successful meeting or event. The walls and tables are made from doors from demolished flats in Kanaleneiland (sometimes with the peephole still in them), which gives a unique appearance and experience. Many details in the spaces are made by tenants from the building. Besides offering an inspiring space, we place great value on hospitality, creativity, and good catering.
Catering from Nomono
Do you want to not only rent a space at Vechtclub XL but also make use of catering? That’s possible! Vechtclub XL collaborates with their beloved neighbors, restaurant Nomono, for delicious lunches, drinks, and dinners.
Nomono is a restaurant & listening bar located right next to the hall. Naresh and Johan decided to combine their strengths for this new place, where food, music, and events are central.
What can you expect? Of course, amazing food during lunch and dinner: pure and honest ingredients from the neighborhood, with Surinamese cuisine serving as the base of flavors using French techniques.
