Westergas

For years, Westergas has been a household name in Amsterdam. In 2018, the buildings of the Westergasfabriek were renamed Westergas. The same site, new energy: the Cultural Village of Amsterdam. The seventeen historic buildings received a new purpose and now serve as the backdrop for creative entrepreneurs, events, and festivals. Three of the seventeen monumental buildings are rented out as event venues: De Wester, the Gashouder, and the Meterhuisje. The venues offer space for a wide range of events, both commercial and cultural. Westergas operates as an independent company without subsidies, with the commercial programming making the cultural events possible. This creates a dynamic mix of business events such as presentations, fairs, dinners, and corporate parties alongside art fairs, theater, and live music.
