Cafe de Jaren Roof Terrace and Upper Floor

The very spacious first floor is our event space, accessible by a wide staircase from the general café downstairs, and specifically intended and exclusively available for parties and events.

From the stairs, the floor runs around a large, open square void, which provides the connection to the café. There is therefore always contact with the 'buzz' from downstairs.

Five high, French doors provide access to a wide, panoramic roof terrace with unique and phenomenal views over the Amstel river and the historic heart of Amsterdam. The roof terrace can be partly covered with wide parasols that have built-in heaters.

The space has several standing and sitting tables with chairs and benches, and the furnishings and layout are almost entirely modular and can largely be arranged as you wish. Beamer and music system are available, as well as a speech microphone. It is always possible, in consultation, to have your own DJ or live music (of course, up to an appropriate noise limit).

Next to the roof terrace there is a slightly smaller and lockable side room with its own beamer installation and the same panoramic view over the Amstel River as from the roof terrace. This room is also acoustically damped

There is a large private bar and kitchen (distribution).

The room, with roof terrace and side room, can only be booked in its entirety for a minimum spend of €1500. This is a consumption credit that you spend on drinks and food. We therefore do not charge location rent in addition. The upper floor can accommodate up to 200 people in its entirety.

A number of exclusive finger food arrangements can be ordered, which "strung together" can also provide a tasty and festive walking lunch or dinner.
