Als het hoofdgebouw van De havixhorst nog steeds een woonhuis zou zijn, zou dit ongetwijfeld de favoriete plek van elke bewoner zijn. Duidelijk een 'room with a view'. In de ochtenduren strijkt de opkomende zon vanuit het oosten hier naar binnen, s' avonds vangt de Serre de laatste zonnestralen op vanuit het westen. Vanuit de chique Serre kijkt u uit op de barokke kasteeltuinen en het begin van het landgoedbos van De Havixhorst, direct achter het huis en de slotgracht.
