We rent out multiple spaces in the old Tropicana swimming pool, including the Dome, Ballroom, Skybox and Studio. De Dome is de plek waar vroeger het golfslagbad van Tropicana was. De ruimte is uiterst geschikt voor congressen, festivals, beurzen en conferenties. In dit oude golfslagbad is bovendien een knusse ruimte gecreëerd voor seminars, presentaties, borrels, online of hybride events of een diner.

De Balzaal - uitzicht op de Maas en Rotterdam

De Skybox is de voormalige boardroom van Tropicana. De volledig gerenoveerde ruimte biedt een adembenemend uitzicht over de Maas, Willemsbrug en Erasmusbrug. De Skybox is circulair ingericht, met meubels van oude visnetten en tafels van afgedankte meerpalen. De Skybox is ideaal voor vergaderingen tot 20 personen en kan ook ingezet worden voor break-out sessies van grotere evenementen in De Balzaal of De Dome. Ook is er een bar aanwezig voor besloten borrels.

The Skybox is the former boardroom of Tropicana. The fully renovated space offers a breathtaking view over the Maas river, Willemsbridge and Erasmusbridge. The Skybox is circularly decorated with furniture made of old fishing nets and tables made from discarded mooring posts. The Skybox is the ideal venue for meetings of up to 20 people and can furthermore be used for break-out sessions of larger events in The Ballroom or The Dome. The Skybox also has a bar for private drinks.

The Dome is where the Tropicana wave pool used to be. This unique space is very suitable for congresses, festivals, fairs and conferences. A separate cozy space has been created in this old pool for seminars, presentations, drinks, online or hybrid events or dinners. On top of this, there is enough space in the Dome to organize break-out sessions in various places.
The Dome is a wonderfully light space due to the glass, and as an abandoned swimming pool, it has a unique raw edge. The location is suitable for 150 people in plenary sessions, but can accommodate 200 people depending on the set-up. These numbers are flexible: our team can find a suitable solution fitting to your wishes.

This space is suitable for both plenary sessions in theater style for up to 25 people and flexible setups for workshops and brainstorming sessions. In addition, the space can be used for break-out sessions of larger events that take place in The Ballroom or Dome. Your group will be inspired for sure by the unique view on the Maas river, on the other side of the laboratories of BlueCity.
Moreover, as the name suggests, The Studio is the perfect spot to use as a professional recording studio for recording or live broadcasting of a training, webinar, talk show or other virtual event. The compact recording studio is equipped with professional tools and immediately ready for use. Prefer to outsource the entire production? BlueCity has in-house expertise from programming to moderation and promotion.
