The Great Hall* is Utrecht's history. You can feel it as soon as you enter the library. The atmospheric stained glass roof, the color-adjustable lighting in the dome, the towering sculptures on the walls… There is so much to discover. This central square in the library has everything to make great events, like exhibitions, festivals, and receptions, unforgettable.*
The Netherlands Film Festival and other major cultural events have taken place in the public Great Hall before you. The reading tables, seating areas, signage, and other furniture are movable. Prefer a private meeting? That is also possible after closing time.

Mr. Potter
Our catering location Mr. Potter is located on the ground floor, adjacent to the central hall. It is a city café where you can go for breakfast, lunch, (early) dinner, drinks & cocktails.

*Note: the Great Hall is only available upon request and can be used exclusively outside the regular opening hours of the library, daily from 09:00-21:00, Sunday until 18:00). We are happy to discuss the possibilities with you when you request a quote.
