Neo-Gothic architecture
The Posthoornkerk is the very first Amsterdam building designed by architect Pierre Cuypers, who would also design Centraal Station, the Vondelkerk, and the Rijksmuseum. But the Haarlemmerbuurt organized itself into the Stichting de Posthoornkerk. They managed to prevent demolition, with repurposing as the magic word. Stadsherstel became involved and helped fully restore the monument and give it a new purpose.
