Welcome to the domain of the master brewer. The great guardian of the unique Heineken recipe, a combination of just four different ingredients. Still an important and defining role within Heineken. Mr. Wilhelm Feltmann, alias 'the Thirsty Firebrand' was the first master brewer of Rotterdam. A difficult character who liked to argue with Gerard Heineken. But friction brings shine! Feltmann was the foundation of the technical shift that Heineken made and started his own lab. A lively discussion and a lot of teamwork are not new in this space, it's been buzzing here for about 150 years.
