The Doelen ICC Rotterdam has a large number of breakout rooms and smaller spaces that can be flexibly used during conferences, meetings, workshops, breakouts, and networking or catering moments. In total, there are more than 30 different spaces spread across the three quarters of The Doelen — the Grote Zaal Quarter, the Jurriaanse Quarter, and the Willem Burger Quarter — each with its own entrance, foyer, and breakout rooms that connect to the main hall.

The breakout rooms vary in size and function, providing space for a range of event formats, from small meeting rooms to medium-sized breakout spaces. In addition to the classic breakout rooms in the three quarters, there are also small-scale event and presentation spaces such as the Eduard Flipse Hall and various studios (like Studio 8), which provide extra flexibility when assembling programs.
