De Meervaart is a theater and inspiring conference venue in Amsterdam, the perfect location for your conferences, meetings, workshops, and events.

MORE THAN JUST A THEATER
Theater de Meervaart is located by the versatile Sloterplas in Amsterdam West. In addition to hosting around 280 theater performances and an extensive educational program for young people, De Meervaart hosts over 100 congresses and events each year. We offer 12 rooms for 12-800 people.

YOUR GUESTS ARE HERE IN NO TIME
The theater is very accessible. Tram and bus stops are right at the doorstep, and NS stations are nearby. The A10 ring road is just 5 minutes away, and both Schiphol and Amsterdam Central are within 15 minutes' reach. There is ample and very affordable parking in the adjacent parking garage (daily rate: 8 euros). A unique feature in Amsterdam!

PLENTY OF SUBSPACES
The building has a contemporary character and is very spacious. With twelve rooms and multiple studios, De Meervaart is the ideal location to organize your meetings, conferences, fairs, or parties. There are more than enough break-out spaces, including ten meeting rooms and 3 studios that can accommodate 2-120 people. Both theater halls provide a stage for any event. The Blauwe Zaal can accommodate 265 people, and the Rode Zaal has 800 seats. The foyers are the ideal gathering spots during receptions, breaks, lunches, and drinks. In our catering, we prioritize the use of organic and/or Fairtrade products. The atmospheric space is also suitable for dinners or setting up booths.

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
In addition to being a theater and event venue, we are also a Studio for talent development. All proceeds from business rentals directly support our arts education and talent development program, Meervaart Studio, a significant pillar of our versatile organization with an official ANBI status.

\n

SUSTAINABLE
We have put significant effort into making our building more sustainable. The 40-year-old heating boilers have been replaced, and warmth is recovered through a twin-coil system. The lighting has been switched to LED, and we generate our electricity with a large number of solar panels on our roof (298 units - 80 kW). All these interventions have resulted in De Meervaart consuming 40% less energy and emitting less CO2.
