The visionary Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam, offering a magnificent view over the water, is the ultimate meeting place for businesses and their associates.
This leading music venue with its stunning spaces is centrally located and offers numerous possibilities for all types of events.
The Muziekgebouw is just a 10-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. You can also take tram 26 from the station, which stops right in front of the venue after just one stop. There are several parking garages near the Muziekgebouw, including the Piet Hein garage, located underneath the building and providing direct access to the entrance hall. For an extra touch of uniqueness to your event, you can even arrive by boat.
The Entrance Hall is the central space for reception, registration, cloakroom, and catering. In good weather, the doors can be opened towards the terrace.
Foyerdeck 1 can be seen as an extension of the Entrance Hall, situated on the 1st floor. This versatile and well-lit space is ideal for reception, dinner, and exhibitions, among other things.
The Grand Hall has a maximum capacity of 725 people in a theater-style setup, including the balcony. We dare say that the Grand Hall is one of the most flexible venues in the Netherlands. This is made possible by movable floor sections, seating arrangements, a movable back wall, and LED lighting. Various setups are possible, such as a town hall setup, square setup, dinners, and a catwalk. A plenary program in the Grand Hall followed by a dinner? No problem! During a cocktail in the Entrance Hall, where guests can enjoy the expansive view over the IJ, the Grand Hall can be transformed into a dinner setup within an hour. In the backstage area, there are three studios that can be used as breakout rooms.
The Small Hall, located on the 3rd floor, has a maximum capacity of 120 people in a theater-style setup. This space has a glass facade that can be completely opened to Foyerdeck 3, creating one large space. From Foyerdeck 3, you can enjoy the amazing 180-degree view towards the city center, the IJ, and Amsterdam North.
The Atrium Hall is adjacent to the Atrium. This room has a maximum capacity of 104 people in a theater-style setup. On either side of the Atrium Hall, there are four breakout rooms.
The Atrium itself can serve as a reception and cocktail space. This is also the place to be during SAIL; it has an exclusive terrace section, offering even better views of the tall ships passing by.
The Muziekgebouw offers various branding opportunities. For instance, the exterior can be fully covered with foil. This is also possible for the registration counters, bars, and information kiosks. Additionally, there are many options for hanging banners.
The Muziekgebouw places great importance on sustainability. For instance, there are nearly 1000 solar panels on the roof. Most of the lighting in the building is LED-based. Furthermore, the Muziekgebouw is a natural gas-free building, thanks to the presence of a heat/cold source underneath it. In September 2019, the Muziekgebouw received the BREEAM certificate, an international sustainability certificate, where it scored 'very good.' This makes the Muziekgebouw one of the most sustainable cultural institutions in Amsterdam.

The Muziekgebouw has parking possibilities. The Piet Hein Garage is located below the Muziekgebouw and has access to the Entreehal. The garage is property of the municipality of Amsterdam.
Amsterdam Central Station is located within a 10-minute walking distance from Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. From Central Station, tram 26 stops at the front door of Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.
Hotel Mövenpick is located next to the Muziekgebouw. Furthermore, there are various hotels located around the Muziekgebouw: Hotel Jakarta, Double Tree Hilton Hotel, Ibis Hotel, Lloyd Hotel Amsterdam.
The Muziekgebouw works with 4 preferred caterers. If they don't meet your requirements, you can bring your own caterer. However, please note that there always is a party manager of the in house caterer on site.
It is possible to have a party at the Muziekgebouw. This is always in consultation with the Muziekgebouw.
