About
Het wereldberoemde jazzpodium BIMHUIS is een herkenbaar baken aan het IJ, vlakbij de bruisende binnenstad van Amsterdam en op loopafstand van het Centraal Station. Het BIMHUIS beschikt over een moderne en intieme concertzaal met 250 stoelen, diverse break-out ruimtes en een café-restaurant met spectaculair uitzicht over het IJ. Alle ruimtes ademen de unieke BIMHUIS-sfeer en bieden daarnaast audiovisuele faciliteiten van hoge kwaliteit.
Ook voor online of hybride evenement en zijn wij de ideale locatie. Met zeven op afstand bestuurbare HD camera’s zorgen wij voor een beeld- en geluidsregistratie van de hoogste kwaliteit. Ook kunnen slides uit een presentatie live geschakeld worden in de opname. Camerabediening en het mixen van geluid gebeuren in onze control room. Na afloop ontvangt u een HD video file van uw presentatie.
Bent u op zoek naar meer ruimtes of grotere zalen dan wij kunnen bieden? Wij delen één gebouw met onze collega’s van het Muziekgebouw, het Mövenpick-hotel en PTA en kunnen gezamenlijk evenementen organiseren voor tot wel 1.900 bezoekers.
Concertzaal
De arena-opstelling van de stoelen rondom het podium zorgt voor een intieme sfeer, ongeacht het aantal bezoekers van uw evenement. De zaal beschikt over topkwaliteit audiovisuele techniek om uw presentatie optimaal tot zijn recht te laten komen en over een spanscherm van 5,2 bij 3,0 meter. Ons technische team denkt graag met u mee over extra opties zoals live internet broadcasting.
Café
De glazen panoramawanden van ons café bieden een schitterend uitzicht over het IJ en de stad Amsterdam. De ruimte is door zijn verbinding met de concertzaal zeer geschikt als break-out ruimte, of voor koffie- en lunchpauzes bij evenementen in de concertzaal. De beschikbare technische faciliteiten maken ons café uitermate geschikt voor presentaties aan groepen tot 80 personen. Het café kan daarnaast ook gehuurd worden voor sfeervolle diners en gezellige recepties. Om uw evenement extra bijzonder te maken, kunnen wij gerenommeerde muzikanten en dj’s uit ons netwerk voor u boeken.
Meeting rooms
Het BIMHUIS beschikt over een aantal kleinere ruimtes die uiterst geschikt zijn voor meetings tot 30 personen, maar kunnen ook goed gebruikt worden als break-out ruimte voor uw evenement in onze concertzaal. De Green Room biedt een spectaculair uitzicht over het IJ en de Meeting Room is door aanwezigheid van een beamer en geluidsinstallatie geschikt voor presentaties.
Catering
Wij voorzien uw gasten tijdens uw evenement graag van lekkere lunch, iets extra’s bij de koffie of een luxe diner. Vraag naar ons met zorg samengestelde cateringmenu. Daarnaast stelt onze chef graag een menu voor u samen, om aan uw specifieke wensen tegemoet te komen.
Praktisch
Het BIMHUIS bevindt zich op loopafstand van Amsterdam CS en is gemakkelijk bereikbaar vanaf de ring. Uw gasten kunnen gebruikmaken van de Piet Heingarage onderin het gebouw.

The BIMHUIS is easily accessible by both car and public transportation. There is ample parking available in the Piet Hein parking garage, which provides direct access to the BIMHUIS. We can also arrange exit tickets if needed.
The BIMHUIS is easily accessible by both car and public transportation. Amsterdam CS station is located just a 10-minute walk from the BIMHUIS. Additionally, we have our own stop (BIMHUIS/MUZIEKGEBOUW), and tram 26 stops right outside our door.
The BIMHUIS itself does not have hotel rooms. However, right next to us is the MOVENPICK HOTEL AMSTERDAM CITY CENTRE. For more information and availability, please call 020-5191200.
The BIMHUIS has a preferred caterer who can make tailor proposals according to the customer's preferences. If this does not align with your needs, an external caterer can be brought in upon agreement. However, in such cases, there will be a 20% contribution of the total F&B (Food and Beverage) quotation to the BIMHUIS.
At the BIMHUIS, you can party until 1:00 AM during weekdays
After signing the rental agreement with the BIMHUIS, cancellation can only be made in writing. The tenant who cancels the agreement for any reason up to one month before the start date of the rental is liable to pay the BIMHUIS half of the rental fee as compensation. The full rental fee is due if the tenant cancels the rental or does not use the rented space for any reason less than one month before the start date.
The BIMHUIS is easily accessible by car. The route from the A10 leads through the Piet Heintunnel, and there is ample parking available underneath the building in the Piet Hein Parking Garage, which provides direct access to the BIMHUIS.
