Bimhuis

The world-famous jazz venue BIMHUIS is a recognizable beacon on the IJ, close to the vibrant city center of Amsterdam and within walking distance from Central Station. The BIMHUIS has a modern and intimate concert hall with 250 seats, various break-out rooms, and a café-restaurant with spectacular views over the IJ. All spaces exude the unique BIMHUIS atmosphere and also offer high-quality audiovisual facilities.

We are also the ideal location for online or hybrid events. With seven remotely operated HD cameras, we ensure the highest quality image and sound recording. Slides from a presentation can also be live switched in the recording. Camera control and sound mixing take place in our control room. After the event, you will receive an HD video file of your presentation.

Are you looking for more spaces or larger halls than we can offer? We share a building with our colleagues from the Muziekgebouw, the Mövenpick hotel, and PTA, and can jointly organize events for up to 1,900 visitors.

Concert hall
The arena setup of the seats around the stage creates an intimate atmosphere, regardless of the number of visitors to your event. The hall is equipped with top-quality audiovisual technology to showcase your presentation optimally and has a projection screen of 5.2 by 3.0 meters. Our technical team is happy to brainstorm additional options with you, such as live internet broadcasting.

Café
The glass panoramic walls of our café offer a stunning view over the IJ and the city of Amsterdam. The space is very suitable as a break-out room due to its connection with the concert hall, or for coffee and lunch breaks during events in the concert hall. The available technical facilities make our café exceptionally suitable for presentations to groups of up to 80 people. The café can also be rented for atmospheric dinners and cozy receptions. To make your event extra special, we can book renowned musicians and DJs from our network for you.

Meeting rooms
The BIMHUIS has a number of smaller rooms that are ideal for meetings of up to 30 people, but can also be well utilized as a break-out room for your event in our concert hall. The Green Room offers a spectacular view over the IJ and the Meeting Room, with the presence of a projector and sound system, is suitable for presentations.

Catering
We are happy to provide your guests with delicious lunches, something extra with coffee, or a luxurious dinner during your event. Ask about our carefully curated catering menu. Additionally, our chef is happy to create a menu for you to meet your specific wishes.

Practical
The BIMHUIS is within walking distance of Amsterdam CS and is easily accessible from the ring road. Your guests can make use of the Piet Heingarage located at the bottom of the building.
