<p><strong>Whether in small or large groups, you'll feel at ease. Everything is precisely proportioned to the stage, making this hall unique. The Zonnehuis is available every day for receptions, presentations, concerts, and workshops.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Nostalgia and Innovation<br></strong>The Zonnehuis is utilized for performances, musicals, and concerts, with special attention to creativity, innovation, and talent development. It's also well-suited for conferences, lectures, film recordings, TV programs, workshops, and presentations. Weddings and dinners gain an extra atmospheric dimension due to the nostalgic interior. The smaller Blue Hall is often used by the local community for children's performances, dance afternoons for the elderly, and rehearsals for theater groups and choirs. Both spaces can be rented separately.</p>
<p><strong>Elegant and Professional<br></strong>Step into the large theater hall, and the 1930s come alive thanks to the well-preserved art deco interior. As befits a good theater, the Zonnehuis is equipped with extensive facilities, including theater lighting, sound systems, and a stage.</p>
<p><strong>Amsterdam School and Art Deco<br></strong>Like all the brick buildings around it, the Zonnehuis is built in the Amsterdam School style, with characteristic bricks and sunny yellow accents. The construction of the community center in 1932 provides jobs and income for many unemployed (port) workers. It quickly becomes the center of local community life, hosting sports, drama, and singing clubs. Various harmonies from the neighborhood also rehearse here. Thus, the Zonnehuis becomes a monument to the 20th-century social uplift and labor history of Amsterdam Noord.</p>
<p><strong>The Blue Hall<br></strong>The Zonnehuis is a versatile venue. While many associate it with the impressive theater hall, the building also has a cozy smaller hall, the Blue Hall. This space is often used for community activities, in line with the building's history. Children's performances, choir rehearsals, and dance afternoons for the elderly—all kinds of events take place here. This space is also available for smaller business activities, such as brainstorming sessions and lectures. Additionally, it's perfect as a breakout room when booked in combination with the main hall.</p>
<p><strong>City Restoration<br></strong>Choosing a gem from Stadsherstel contributes to the restoration of the city and the preservation of cultural heritage. In 1993, the Zonnehuis was narrowly saved from demolition. In 2002, it came into the possession of Stadsherstel. The beautiful interiors were largely authentic at that time, but the structure was in a dilapidated state. Now, the national monument has been fully restored to its former glory.</p>

<p>Ontdek het prachtige Zonnehuis aan het gezellige Zonneplein in Amsterdam-Noord, een monumentale locatie in de stijl van de Amsterdamse School, verstopt in Tuindorp Oostzaan. Dit voormalige gemeenschapshuis stamt uit 1932 en het authentieke art deco interieur ademt nog altijd de sfeer van die jaren uit.</p>
<p>Zowel in kleine als grote groepen voel je je op je gemak. Alles is exact in verhouding met het toneel, wat juist deze zaal uniek maakt. Het Zonnehuis is alle dagen beschikbaar voor onder meer recepties, presentaties, workshops en concerten.</p>
<p>Nostalgie en vernieuwing<br>&rsquo;t Zonnehuis wordt gebruikt voor voorstellingen, musicals en concerten, waarbij er speciale aandacht is voor creativiteit, vernieuwing en talentontwikkeling. Ook congressen, lezingen, filmopnames, tv-programma&rsquo;s, workshops en presentaties zijn hier goed op hun plek. Huwelijken en diners krijgen door het nostalgische interieur een extra sfeervolle dimensie. De kleinere Blauwe Zaal wordt veel gebruikt voor (en door) de buurt met kindervoorstellingen, dansmiddagen voor ouderen en repetities voor theatergroepen en koren. Beide ruimtes zijn apart van elkaar te huur.</p>
<p>Verzorgd en professioneel<br>Stap naar binnen in de grote theaterzaal en de jaren dertig herleven dankzij het goed bewaard gebleven art deco interieur. Zoals het een goed theater betaamd is &rsquo;t Zonnehuis geoutilleerd met uitgebreide voorzieningen, zoals theaterlicht, geluidsinstallatie en een podium.</p>
<p>Amsterdamse School en art deco<br>Net als alle bakstenen gebouwen eromheen, is &lsquo;t Zonnehuis gebouwd in de stijl van de Amsterdamse School, met karakteristieke bakstenen en zonnige gele accenten. &nbsp;De bouw van het gemeenschapshuis zorgt in 1932 voor banen en inkomens voor de vele werkeloze (haven)arbeiders. Al snel is dit het centrum van het plaatselijke verenigingsleven en biedt plek aan sport-, toneel- en zangverenigingen. Ook oefenen er verschillende harmonie&euml;n uit de buurt. Daarmee wordt &rsquo;t Zonnehuis een monument van de twintigste-eeuwse de volksverheffing en de arbeidersgeschiedenis van Amsterdam Noord.</p>
<p>De Blauwe Zaal<br>&rsquo;t Zonnehuis is een veelzijdige locatie. Veel mensen denken bij &rsquo;t Zonnehuis aan de indrukwekkende theaterzaal, maar het gebouw heeft ook een gezellige kleinere zaal, de Blauwe Zaal. Deze zaal wordt veel ingezet voor de buurt, helemaal in de geest van de ontstaansgeschiedenis van het gebouw. Kindervoorstellingen, koorrepetities en dansmiddagen voor ouderen, van alles komt voorbij. Ook deze ruimte is te huur voor kleinere zakelijke activiteiten, zoals brainstorms en lezingen. Daarnaast is het natuurlijk perfect als breakout room te boeken in combinatie met de grote zaal.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Herstel de stad<br>Wie kiest voor een parel van Stadsherstel, draagt bij aan het herstel van de stad en het behoud van cultureel erfgoed. In 1993 wordt &rsquo;t Zonnehuis nipt gered van de sloop. In 2002 komt het in bezit van Stadsherstel. De prachtige interieurs zijn dan nog grotendeels authentiek, maar het casco verkeert in vervallen staat. Inmiddels is het rijksmonument in haar volle glorie hersteld.&nbsp;</p>
