Boven Foyer

The Upper Foyer is accessible via the stairs on both sides of the Grand Foyer. It is a reception area with an open character, providing access to all spaces on the first floor. From the cozy upper bar, you can experience a 360-view of how architect Frits van Dongen has found the perfect harmony between restoration and new construction.

• Capacity 150 people in dinner setup and 180 for receptions 
• Foyer with an open character, located on the 1st floor
• Access to the balcony of the Grand Hall, Small Hall, and the Van Warmerdam and Van Beinum Halls from the Upper Foyer 

Not the stairs, but the lift 
On both sides of the Grand Foyer, the stairs lead your guests upstairs. For people with limited mobility, or for rolling carts during setup, the glass lift goes to the first floor and to the entrance of the Van Warmerdam Hall on the intermediate floor. 

Widely applicable 
In daily use, the Upper Foyer is mainly used as a reception area for guests from the Small Hall or from the balcony of the Grand Hall. During events, the foyer can be used more broadly; as an extra break-out space for interactive sessions, as an exhibition floor for exhibitors, but also for sit-down dinners for about 150 guests.
