About the space
At a height of 40 meters is the NOW; a large but atmospheric hall with a club vibe. Unique eye-catchers are the characteristic pipes on both sides of the room and impressive video screens, where there is space for entertainment and decoration.
HISTORY
In 1919, it was decided that, due to the growing demand for storage space, the capacity of the existing silo needed to be increased. A design was drawn up for a silo that would be twice as high as the first: 48 meters tall with a capacity of 44,000 tons. The processing speed of the new grain silo was 1600 tons per hour.
CLUB ON HIGH
On the top floor of this ‘new’ section, spaces for parties and gatherings were created during the renovation in 2003. A historical route takes visitors from the entrance on the quay to the elevators. Above, the route leads through rooms with high ceilings and authentic hoists to the NOW.
