Meet with a view of the plane trees at the Artis Square. See how spoonbills and other meadow birds scurry around in the Dutch Polder.
Traditionally, a salon has the function of a 'showroom', and this space is no different. The sky-blue ceiling is one that deserves to be seen; it has been carefully restored and brought back to its full 19th-century glory. Changing artworks from the ARTIS collection adorn the walls of the salon. And the wallpaper has been specially designed for this space by artist Pavèl van Houten, inspired by the spots on the bark of the plane tree.
