Meet with a view of the plane trees at Artisplein. See spoonbills and other meadow birds scurrying around in the Dutch Polder.
Traditionally, a salon serves as a 'showroom', and that is no different with this space. The heavenly blue ceiling is one to be admired; it has been carefully restored and brought back to its full, 19th-century glory. Changing artworks from the ARTIS collection adorn the walls of the salon. And the wallpaper has been specially designed for this space by artist Pavèl van Houten, inspired by the spots on the bark of the plane tree.
