About the space
The national monument Windloods on the mill site De Otter in Amsterdam has, just like the Waterloods, been fully renovated and made more sustainable with respect for the historical value of the location. The characteristic woodwork and authentic architectural style have been preserved, allowing the space to maintain its monumental appearance.
During the restoration, the Windloods has been made future-proof with sustainable insulation and an innovative heating system based on aquathermy. The historical structure and monumental details have also been carefully restored, ensuring that the heritage is preserved.
The Windloods is a more intimate space with a warm, cozy appearance. The rectangular hall is ideal for small-scale gatherings, workshops, meetings, and presentations. The combination of history and modern facilities creates a special atmosphere that often surprises visitors. Additionally, it is possible to rent the entire mill site exclusively, allowing all spaces and the outdoor area to be used privately for one event.
