De Grote Zaal, gelegen op de eerste verdieping, is door een heftige brand in 1961 compleet verwoest. Er zijn slechts enkele oorspronkelijke details, zoals de versiering in het glas-in-lood, in de zaal aanwezig. In 2004 is het interieur aangepast om de Grote Zaal weer haar grandeur van vroegere tijden terug te laten krijgen.
De Grote Zaal is een ideale ruimte voor lezingen, diners, en recepties. Voor grotere gezelschappen is de Grote Zaal, zeker in combinatie met de Pleinzaal, de perfecte locatie.
