About the space
The Boerhaave Hall is named after Herman Boerhaave, the famous 18th-century physician, scientist, and professor at Leiden University. As the owner of Oud-Poelgeest, he used the estate as a summer residence and as a botanical extension of the Hortus Botanicus. This bright and spacious hall exudes tranquility and history, and provides an inspiring environment for meetings, presentations, or training in a place where science and nature once came together.
