About the venue
"Where the coins of the Netherlands were minted, meetings that matter are now held."
In recent years, the Muntgebouw has been thoroughly renovated and made more sustainable. The owner has restored the building to its former state and has meanwhile transformed it into a contemporary multitenant location. The Muntgebouw is BREEAM certified and has the A+++ label, which is unique for a national monument. As of 2026, the fully renovated and sustainable Muntgebouw houses luxurious offices and TrainMore, as well as the full-service event and conference location Munthuys and Gastrobar Florijn.
In 1911, the Old Royal Mint building in Utrecht opened its doors as a symbol of craftsmanship, precision, and national pride.
For more than a century, the coins of the Netherlands were minted here. The spaces are open and transparent in character. The original elements of the minting give each room its own, inalienable character. It is a location you can feel.
Munthuys covers 3,500 m² of the iconic Muntgebouw.
Divided over five event halls, ten meeting rooms, three private dining rooms, and a courtyard. And for those who want to enjoy the location outside as well: Gastrobar Florijn is open to the public daily.
Accessibility is not a concern.
Munthuys is located 800 meters from Utrecht Central, three minutes from the A2 and A12, and there are 500 parking spaces available at the Jaarbeurs within walking distance. Centrally located in the Netherlands, centrally located in Utrecht.
