About the space
The Wilhelmina room is the gem of the Muntgebouw. This used to be the room of the master of the mint. The space was also used for official receptions of the royal family. For example, the monarch sometimes visited the Royal Mint to strike a special coin or the very first coin. The first time was Queen Wilhelmina, who struck the first golden dime on June 23, 1911. The small door in the hall hides the sink, where Queen Wilhelmina used to wash her hands after inspecting the coins.
Due to the warm atmosphere in the hall, it is ideally suited for a (board) meeting, sub-room, and/or private dining.
