About the space
The Rijkszaal, the library on the first floor of the Munthuys, breathes history. The wall paintings show how the coins were minted in the past and these were painted by Ids Wiersma. Between the paintings are silver-colored strips with images of coin machines and coats of arms of cities that once had their own minting, framed with decorative edges of punched rondelles. The original interior from 1911 has been exceptionally well preserved here.
The hall is ideal for an intimate meeting or as a sub-room. Through the side rooms of the hall, the Rijkszaal is also extremely suitable for executive meetings, where discussions can take place separately.
