The Daalderkamer is located at the front of the iconic Muntgebouw on Leidseweg. The daalder is a historical silver coin that was used in the Netherlands from the 16th century. The daalder had a relatively high value and was known as a reliable trade coin. In the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands, one daalder was usually worth about one and a half guilders.
